Oswald Spengler saw nine cultures when Russia is included which appeared after his demise in 1936. We are proposing that the 10th iteration of culture is now and in its developing stages. Why this year the proclamation? 2026 is numerically the number 10 which has a host of meanings one of which is ‘new beginnings’. Why today? 1.13.2026 is numerically a 6 which symbolizes harmony, love, responsibility and nurturing among others. 10, this year numerically, can also signify a 1 for humanity and a zero for its self-destruction. One and zero are also the entire basis of the binary computing systems where 1 means true/on and 0 means false/off. In a fortnight, 1.27.2026, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists will determine if we are getting closer than 89 seconds to midnight and self annihilation. Could this be the dawning of a new epoch in the brief history of humanity on this insignificant planet in this outrageously expanding cosmos? As far as I’m concerned it is up to each of us individually to get serious about avoiding the waste and destruction of our natural resources and get busy finding ways to be a positive and productive influence; all parties concerned…And yes, you’re right, I’m simultaneously ringing the school bell and pulling the Fire Alarm!!!
