Concern…

Concern: To relate to; be connected with; be of interested importance to; affect. This is why we generally listen to, watch, or absorb the news as it has a direct relationship with our very existence. If there is a big storm coming, an extreme cold front or heat wave, or even major global conflict which may impact our entire planet, we are concerned. Unfortunately, that is exactly the situation at the moment. If there is not a cessation of this unprovoked attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran, the global cost of living will increase substantially and there will be serious food and energy shortages affecting nearly every aspect of life. What to do? That is a question which even a seriously concerned citizen is cursed with. If you watch the mass media or dare to watch the alternative media we see and hear extremely opposite reports or viewpoints of what is actually happening. “These are the times that try men’s souls”, is the famous opening line of Thomas Paine’s The American Crisis, published in December 1776. Ironically, this occurred 250 years ago and was a rallying cry for the American colonists in their fight to ward off a foreign power. “Hope is not a strategy”, as the saying goes, but that may be our only solution as obviously the 8 billion persons residing on Mother Earth are not being consulted…
