The most significant by-products of the oil industry are: Plastics, Synthetic Fibers, Fertilizers, Detergents, and Rubber. In total, over 6,000 items are produced using petroleum byproducts, with 96% of everyday products relying on oil and natural gas byproducts in some way. Hopefully we do not have to read through the lines to comprehend what interrupting the global flow of oil and natural gas is inflicting on humanity. The situation in Asia is already bordering on catastrophe for millions of innocent people who live on the financial edge. Soon, it will be evident how expendable we are, the 99.99% of the population left outside of the decision making determining our very existence. “Mob Rule”, is what Plato and Aristotle labeled democracy and look at the results when Marie Antionette, former Queen of France, supposedly said, “let them eat cake”, after being advised that there was no bread available. We are social animals ruling this planet which creates responsibilities to each other and our surrounding environment. The doubling of armed conflicts which has taken place in the first 26 years of the third millennium are pushing us to the edges of self annihilation! Mass uprisings are already starting and how far they will go and to what extent they affect change is yet to be seen…
