Fear: Anticipation of the possibility that something unpleasant will occur. We tend to champion those who are supposedly ‘fearless’, and will lead and protect the weak who are rightfully afraid in certain situations. However, just being fearless is insufficient if the so-called ‘fearless leader’ is not blessed with practical intelligence. There are obviously different degrees of fear and here we are talking about fear on a massive scale where millions, if not billions of our fellow humans are put into extreme danger of hunger and physical suffering. The whole concept of democracy is that properly implemented will protect a country from wrongful engagement if the majority of the citizenry opposes it. The present war game initiated by the U.S.Military is neither supported by the American population nor authorized by their governing representatives. We are fooling ourselves if we think this newest Middle East War of aggression by the U.S./Israel partnership is based on protecting and defending so-called ‘Democratic Values’. It is outright hypocrisy to inflict destruction on another entity based on a principle that you do not embrace. There can be no rational argument that if one more country in the world has or does not have nuclear weapons that will necessarily upend the balance of power. Presently nine very differing powers have nuclear weapons and none are deploying them. Why, because once even two countries engage in a nuclear exchange then it could very quickly spin out of control and we destroy life as we know it. Fear, yes, it is a natural emotion, but our real fear should be of leaders who play with our emotions like a football and their agenda is not supported by the majority of their citizens…
