Philosophers and theologians propose many alternative views and dogmas concerning our destiny and how it should be approached. Of course, from a pragmatic viewpoint, we are experiencing our destiny moment to moment. Did I sleep well? Do I feel good and healthy to deal with what today presents to me? Will this rain ever stop or why is it always cloudy and no sun? These are all part of our destiny, some we can change and others, not so much. This is the clue, to analyze, what about my situation in life can I practically alter to my advantage and what parts of my destiny are perhaps too big for me to confront at this time? Do i want to stay long time in a place with weather that does not suit me or remain with family and friends and endure? Do i want to remain in a job or profession which is not fulfilling my potential or pleasure? Should I or can I get into a committed relationship or forget about it? These are a small sample of situations we need to address if we are at all interested in taking control of our destiny. ‘To err is human’. Yes, we will make good and bad, right and wrong decisions, but what you have to decide is whether you want to step up and make those choices or have someone else make them for you? It all comes down to how much you value your own life and how much potential you believe you are capable of…
