Worthy: having adequate or great merit, character, or value. In these uncertain times for many of us the question arises: Am I worthy enough? Am I of sufficient value even to myself, what to speak of those around me? We rarely get much encouragement from the local or international news which generally has a negative focus. Social media, which has become our interaction of choice with the ubiquity of smartphones, is not the solution we may have expected. Social media is strongly associated with increased anxiety, depression, loneliness, and poor sleep quality due to compulsive usage. In our struggle to find our own value many are overcome by FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and unhealthy social comparisons. Our project, with participation of one’s own choice, the Get Real Club, is simply a daily reflection on the circumstances which have confronted humans from time immemorial. Just an image and a few words to hopefully soften the rush of thoughts that many times overwhelm us and make us feel all alone in this increasingly complex environment. We all have frustrations and shortcomings which confound us and make us feel, if only for a moment, is it all worth it? This is why our proposition is the REAL system to Reflect, Educate, Activate and Liberate ourselves.
