The E in my acronym REAL could just as well stand for Exploration as well as Education. Perhaps exploring is a significant element of the Europeans as the Vikings, Marco Polo, the Spanish, Portuguese, Italians onwards, dangerously ventured to uncover new places to exploit and integrate. Of course this is external exploration while there is also internal exploration of our body, mind, intellect and spirit. So all in all, the nature of the advanced beings, the human beings, is to curiously inquire and search out new modes of life internally and externally. This is our calling, to every day wake up with the desire to grow and expand our knowledge and experience to enrich ourselves and our environment. The Vedanta Sutra (essentially the culmination of all knowledge) begins with the aphorism: ‘Atato brahma jignasa’,’now, therefore in this human form, inquire about Brahman (basically everything)’.
