Two hands hold a brown cardboard sign with the words "STOP WAR" written in black marker. The sign is positioned in front of a light blue and tan world map. The map shows continents and oceans.

Emotion & Reason: The relationship between emotion and reason is not one of simple opposition, but rather a complex, interdependent partnership, according to insights from neuroscience and psychology. While traditionally viewed as conflicting forces—reason as the slow, logical guide and emotion as the impulsive, irrational urge—modern research suggests they are two sides of the same coin, working together to guide human behavior and decision-making. The relationship between emotion and reason, when viewed through the lens of Yin and Yang philosophy, represents a dynamic, interdependent balance rather than a conflict between good and bad. Generally, emotion is associated with Yin (receptive, internal) and reason is associated with Yang (active, external), though they constantly transform into one another. (from Ai search) This relationship is unfortunately not moving towards a balance in the Middle East Conflict, but as a hardening of positions pushing the future of humanity towards a cliff. Teleology from the Greek words telos (end/goal) and logia (study/reason) posits that processes are directed toward a purpose. We are witnessing the Persians, who have a purpose of survival, versus the opposing forces who obviously have a purpose of total domination. We are truly experiencing the irresistible forces trying to destroy the immovable object. One purpose versus another purpose. You are welcome to pick your side in this most dangerous confrontation in our lifetimes, but at least do your homework and listen to arguments from alternative views to get a complete understanding of what is really transpiring as we collectively race towards a global recession/depression…
