Advice: An opinion or recommendation offered as a guide to action, conduct, etc. From as soon as we are able to understand words we are given advice and perhaps one reason for the saying, “hire a teenager while they still know everything!” Until we are thirteen we are given ‘advice’ constantly and in most cases we don’t get to question it. Then, with enough intelligence to be out from under supervision, we tend to think we know it all; Not! Unfortunately, it’s not possible to ‘know it all’, but now, with smart phones we can all do a quick search and get expert advice on practically every subject. The only challenge left is whether or not we are open minded enough to stop, realizing that we don’t have the answer to an issue, and search on our phone. Contrary to what the mass media projects about the war in the Middle East prompted by the United States and Israel, if you ask any AI bot you will get a fairly honest answer that there is no clear winner so far and is for the most part a stalemate. We are all experiencing a completely new reality in the third millennium, the 21st century. My granddaughter, just turning 14, is expert at using AI as she is homeschooled and employs every option she has to stay current in her education. Machines, powered by artificial intelligence are here to stay, and the sooner we get with the program the better chance we have of keeping them from getting the upper hand…
