Intersection: A place where two or more roads meet, especially when at least one is a major highway; junction. Another simple term is; crossroads. Let’s say we explain ‘objective reality’ as linear or a horizontal line, the progress of things we can see, hear, touch, and experience together. Then let’s look at ‘subjective reality’, our own personal world that we experience internally as a vertical line, sometimes referred to as ‘non-linear’. So we have a horizontal line representing what we are all experiencing together intersecting with a vertical line representing our own individual experience. A colloquial way of saying it “where the rubber meets the road”, and from my perspective what I call “enlightenment”. So, using this view, enlightenment is already present, it is just how much we are willing to become aware of it. Being ‘enlightened’, simply means that you are an organic living being blessed with advanced consciousness allowing you to be aware that there are two realities intersecting; objective and subjective. We, individually, are the subject, colliding with and intersecting with the objects of our material existence. This can also be seen as a relationship or in Sanskrit called ‘rasa’. The word ‘shanta’, means peace in Sanskrit, so here we are defining ‘enlightenment’ as ‘shanta rasa’, or the peaceful relationship between your own subjective reality (mind, intelligence & ego) and your objective reality of your body and senses as part of the linear world. There is a duality; I think therefore I am, but where they intersect is a unified, singular, or oneness of experience.
