This millenium began with the Y2K fear that there would be a massive computer glitch which could possibly upset our lives dramatically. Eight year later the 2008 financial meltdown caused immeasurable damage to masses of working class people living without an economic safety net. Just six years ago the Covid crisis had the world in a panic that many of us may die unexpectedly. The Artificial Intelligence revolution, even if it doesn’t turn on us like The Terminator, may destroy millions of working class and upper level income jobs. The USA, the most powerful economic nation, has gone from $5.6 trillion in sovereign debt to $38.5 trillion which could very soon topple that formidable empire. To add insult to injury the US Armed Forces are building up to a Strike Force capacity and stance around Iran to foment a war that could easily spin out of control and become an existential global conflict between the West and the East. Somehow or other our planet has evolved to where we can hardly guarantee that 24 hours from now we will not be plagued by Atomic Weapons, financial meltdown, computers replacing us, viruses and bacterias that are unseen and a social order which is on the verge of collapse. Certainly, nothing could be more true than we, the most advanced intelligent beings that we know, have supposedly ‘progressed’, to an uncharted place in our own history, that we may not be able to check. The goal today is for all of us to become more aware of the extremely dire situation we are in globally, and to become at least more conscious about how we interact and to be as positive and uplifting as we are able…
